Notable releases

  • Cursor Agent SDK is generally available (2026-10-20). Define an agent as a folder of code (instructions, tools, skills, MCP connections, channels), test it with evals, and deploy it to Cursor with agent-sdk deploy or run it on your own infrastructure. Agents can wake on GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket events, Slack mentions, webhooks or a cron schedule.
  • Cursor: canvases from cloud agents, Environments API (beta) (2026-10-16). Cloud agents can build interactive canvases and share them by link. A new Environments API (beta) creates and manages the cloud environments agents run in, which now support up to 300 repositories, and large environments load 5x faster.
