GPT-6.1 Terra rolls out in Codex and ChatGPT Work
OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Terra is rolling out in Codex and ChatGPT Work for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. In the API (gpt-6.1-terra) it is listed at $1/M input and $5/M output tokens, which OpenAI says is 50% lower than GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol.
Claude Code v2.1.311: self-hosted runner hold flags, ultrathink at xhigh
Adds --hold-idle-file and --max-hold-min to self-hosted-runner, makes ultrathink in the interactive terminal run its turn at xhigh effort on Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5, Haiku 5.5 and Fable 5.1, adds syntax coloring to code blocks in the VS Code extension, and ships a long list of fixes.
Copilot assisted permissions are generally available
In Copilot CLI, the Copilot app and VS Code, an LLM now evaluates each request to run a command, access a path or open a URL; clearly safe requests proceed automatically and the rest still need your approval. Enterprise admins can block Allow All while keeping Assisted, or disable Assisted.
Replit Monitoring Agent, Agent-made skills, chat sharing
Replit Agent can now investigate production issues from your app's logs and metrics, then attempt and validate fixes (auto-republish is an experimental opt-in). Also new: Agent can create and update reusable workspace skills, chat and asset sharing, Stripe Atlas incorporation, and published apps that keep running at zero credits for eligible top-up customers.
Gemini Notebook becomes a Connected App in the Gemini app
Type @Gemini Notebook in a Gemini chat to create notebooks, add sources, save notes or ask questions of your existing notebooks. On by default for users globally except the EEA; available to Workspace customers, Workspace Individual and personal Google accounts.
Claude Duet research preview (waitlist)
A new standalone app (iOS, Android and claude.ai) where Claude works as a proactive agent: a morning brief across connected apps, background tasks on its own virtual machine, and approval before it sends, pays, signs or deletes anything. Waitlist only, starting with US Pro and Max subscribers; it shares your plan's usage limits.
