Ranking status

Every ranking on Loadout is currently initial editorial, pending tests. The ranks are an editorial starting order based on market position and capability claims. They are not test results. No quality test on a task set has been run yet. Smoke tests and evidence reviews are published in the test logs and changed no rank.

Conflict of interest

The Loadout blueprint and this initial build were drafted with Grok Bot, a SpaceXSI product. SpaceXSI also owns Grok and Cursor, which both appear in these rankings (Cursor in AI Coding Agents & IDEs, Grok in General AI Assistants). Treat those ranks as especially provisional until tested.

Affiliate links

Loadout currently uses no affiliate links. Every "Official site" button links directly to the vendor. If affiliate links are added later, they will go through a /go/[tool] redirect, be disclosed above the fold on every ranking page, and never be an input to any score. Ranked tools without an affiliate program get the same placement. We have researched which ranked tools run affiliate programs (as background for this policy) but haven't joined or applied to any.

Sponsorship

Loadout currently has no sponsors. Policy for the future: "Sponsors cannot buy, alter, or delay a ranking, test, or review. Sponsored tools are tested like everyone else." Any sponsored placement will be labeled Sponsored, sit outside the ranked list, carry rel="sponsored", and have a fixed term.

Sister-site promotions

Loadout shares an operator with Unspill, DevlogDrop and The Vibe Diff. A slim banner at the top of the page sometimes promotes them; until Nov 30, 2026 it promotes their launch sale (20% off). It is our own promo, not a paid placement, sits outside every ranked list, and none of those products appear in or affect any ranking.

Pricing

Pricing is quoted as stated on each vendor's site (or help center) on the "verified" date shown, and may change. Promotional, first-month and regional prices are noted where they were seen. Where a vendor shows prices only dynamically or behind a login, we list only the tiers it states. Always check the vendor's page before buying.

Privacy

This site loads no third-party scripts, trackers, fonts or cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics (first-party and cookieless) to count page views; it does not identify individual visitors. The newsletter form is a non-functional placeholder and collects nothing.

Data reuse

The rankings are published as read-only JSON at /rankings.json (also at /api/rankings.json). Please attribute "Loadout" if you reuse them. A machine-readable summary is at /llms.txt, and a sitemap at /sitemap.xml.
